Four of our bedside lamps can be dimmed, which makes them the touch bedside lamps and dimmable nightstand lamps most people are searching for. Three of them dim by touch: the Noir Cordless Dome, the Stone Cordless Marble and the Vessel Cordless Ceramic, all stepless, so you set the level rather than cycling through three fixed steps. The fourth, the Aria White, dims from a push-button switch on the cord. Dimming is the feature reviewers and editors name most often as the thing a bedside lamp has to have, because the light you read by and the light you fall asleep under are not the same light.
Which of these are touch lamps and which is not
Three of the four are touch: Noir, Stone and Vessel. You touch the body of the lamp and hold to fade it up or down, anywhere between 10 and 100 percent on the Noir.
The Aria White is dimmable but not touch. It uses a push-button switch on the cord. The supplier lists a touch version as available on request, and we will only say more about that once it is confirmed.

Stepless dimming against three-step dimming
Stepless means you stop wherever you like. Three-step means the lamp cycles through low, medium and high, and one of those three is usually not the level you wanted.

Color temperature, and why 2700K is the one
Warm white at 2700K is the bedroom temperature. Daylight bulbs at 5000K and above suppress the wind-down your body is trying to do, which is exactly the wrong job for a lamp beside a bed.
The Stone and the Vessel both run from 2700K to 6000K, so you can push them cool for reading and drop them back to warm at night. The Noir switches between 3000K, 4500K and 6500K.

Three of the four are cordless
Noir, Stone and Vessel all recharge over USB and run off an internal battery, so there is no cable behind the nightstand and no adapter to hide. The Vessel is also wireless-charging compatible and comes with a remote.
The Aria is a mains lamp with a US plug and takes a standard E26 bulb, which you choose yourself. If you want a dimmable Aria, buy a dimmable bulb.

Which lamps here are touch controlled?
The Noir Cordless Dome, the Stone Cordless Marble and the Vessel Cordless Ceramic. All three dim steplessly by touch. The Aria White is dimmable through a push-button switch on the cord, not by touch.
What is stepless dimming?
You hold your finger on the lamp and it fades, so you can stop at any brightness. A three-step lamp only offers low, medium and high.
Can I change the color of the light?
On three of them. The Stone and the Vessel run from 2700K warm white to 6000K cool white. The Noir switches between 3000K, 4500K and 6500K. The Aria takes whatever bulb you put in it.
Do the cordless lamps come with a charger?
Yes. The Noir and the Stone charge over USB-C and the charger is included. The Vessel ships with its charger and is also wireless-charging compatible.
How long does a charge last?
The Noir has a 1,200 mAh battery. We do not publish a runtime figure because the supplier has not confirmed one, and we would rather say nothing than guess.
Is a dimmable lamp worth it for a bedroom?
Dimming is the single most-cited must-have among reviewers and editors in this category, for the simple reason that reading light and sleeping light are different levels and you do not want to get out of bed to switch between them.

Qualux Decor is a Dutch company. Our lamps are made by our manufacturing partners in China and shipped directly from China to your door; we hold no stock of our own. Delivery takes 9 to 13 business days in total. The price at checkout is the full price, with no customs charges on arrival, and returns are handled inside the United States at our returns address in Carson, California.
